The Village of Mundelein Board of Trustees on Aug. 11 approved several public-works contracts and purchase orders covering street design, sidewalk repairs, brick-paver replacement and equipment upgrades.
Trustees authorized a design-engineering agreement for the 2026 Street and Infrastructure Improvement Project with Hamilton Associates Inc., approving purchase order 26-00499 for $156,737. The board also waived bidding and accepted Schroeder & Schroeder Inc. for sidewalk repair services with purchase order 26-00506 for $260,000.
Separately, trustees approved Landcare USA (purchase order 26-00511) for brick paver replacement at $73,600 and ratified purchase order 25-26-00516 for Concentric Integration LLC to replace a Western Motor PLC system at $249,700. The board also approved a $21,737 purchase order for Northfield Black Company (PO 26-00510) for equipment or services noted in the packet.
Motions were made by trustees handling the public-works agenda and passed on roll-call votes; each item was recorded as approved with the amounts and purchase-order numbers listed at the meeting.
The approvals included waivers of competitive bidding for several items; the board’s roll-call record shows all affirmative votes for the public-works items at the Aug. 11 meeting.
