MUNDELEIN, Ill. — The Mundelein Village Board approved a resolution authorizing $2,840,000 in tax-increment financing (TIF) eligible redevelopment costs for the Towns at Oak Creek development.
Trustee Morris moved to adopt the resolution; Trustee Preethom seconded. The clerk called the roll and recorded “yes” votes from Trustees Juarez, Grieco, Prinske, Lambert and others; the motion carried.
Board members did not record extended debate on the TIF allocation during the motion. The resolution authorizes TIF-eligible costs to support redevelopment work identified for the Towns at Oak Creek project and directs staff to proceed under the village’s TIF program guidelines.
The resolution’s approval is recorded as part of the village’s consent and redevelopment actions; trustees indicated the item had been vetted by staff and the community and was brought forward for formal action.
Staff will proceed with implementing the TIF-eligible redevelopment cost approvals for the project per village procedures.
