Lorain City Council on Aug. 12 voted unanimously to send proposed amendments to the codified ordinances relating to the schedule of allowed uses in residential districts and requirements for single-family dwellings outside manufactured-home communities to a second reading. The ordinance was introduced by Council member Nutt.

The amendments, listed in the agenda as changes to ordinance 106-25, 4-21, and sections 1123.02, 1141.17 and 1191.05 of the Lorain codified ordinances, will return to council for additional review and debate at a later date. No substantive debate on the content of the zoning changes took place during the special meeting; a motion to send the matter to second reading carried unanimously.
