Commission corrects zoning map for two properties near Mercy Medical Center and Cooper Foster Park Road

The second correction (ZZA02-2025) would change 1510 Cooper Foster Park Road from R-1A (low-density residential) to B-2 general commercial. Staff said the site is a former church currently operating as a daycare and that the property owner, Tamika Bonilla, supports the correction. The commission approved both measures; the transcript records Commissioner Andrew Patterson abstaining on the Cooper Foster Park Road vote.
Both measures were described as administrative corrections with property-owner consent and will be forwarded to City Council for final action.
