VDOT updates: bridge repairs, smart‑scale projects and truck‑routing concerns in Caroline County

VDOT’s assistant residency engineer, Giovanni Esposito, and residency representative Kyle Bates reviewed completed and ongoing work that included the Route 638 South River bridge replacement (opened July 22), a turn-lane project on Route 676 completed before July 4, and an active superstructure and substructure rehabilitation project over the Mattaponi River that began July 28.
