John said the city advertised the project on the state procurement website and received three proposals; Hansen Lab Solutions was the lowest-priced bidder and a direct manufacturer, and received the highest score in the evaluation.
A motion to award the contract to Hansen Lab Solutions in the amount of $39,308 passed unanimously, 5-0.
Council briefly confirmed the cabinets are for two new laboratory areas in the plant and that the selected vendor would also install them. John said the procurement and award were consistent with the budgeted project.
The contract award authorizes staff to proceed with purchase and installation; staff will return with any required contract documents or change orders as necessary.
