Orange Village council reviews June financial reports; council approves tax and treasurer reports

Orange Village council members on Aug. 13 received June financial reports showing a cash balance across funds of $18,750,000 and year-to-date revenue growth compared with the prior year. The council moved and seconded approval of the treasurer’s and the tax administrator’s June 2025 reports.
Treasurer Dana told the council the June 30 cash-account summary showed $18,750,000 in all funds. June revenue collections were $1,176,000 and June expenditures were $873,000. The treasurer said general-fund revenues were at 56% of the annual budget and general-fund expenditures were at 43% of budget, both at roughly the mid-point of the fiscal year.
On the tax side, the tax administrator’s report showed gross collections for June of $840,000 and year-to-date collections about $588,000 higher than the same point last year. The tax administrator and treasurer attributed much of the variance year-to-date to timing differences in receipts and prior-year lows.
Council also reviewed bills to be paid in August totaling $251,946.29 and additional July expenses of $75,586.76; council discussed the amounts and moved forward with regular processing. No additional budget transfers or policy actions were proposed at the meeting.
Votes: the treasurer’s report and the tax administrator’s report were moved, seconded and approved by roll call during the meeting.
