New Britain Board proclaims Sept. 15–Oct. 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month

The resolution, presented during the meeting, noted the historical and cultural contributions of people of Hispanic heritage and cited the national observance dates. It also referenced district demographics: "In our own community of New Britain, more than 40% of our overall population and 2 thirds of our student population is of Hispanic heritage," the presenting speaker said.
