The county clerk encouraged residents to attend the Peach Festival parade and social events, saying the parade is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Cobden and that the Peach Festival begins tonight and finishes tomorrow. "We will be in it. Some of us are walking in it. It's 04:30 in Cobden tomorrow afternoon, and the Peach Festival starts tonight and will finish up tomorrow night," the clerk said. The clerk also announced the Union County Fair will begin Aug. 15 and run through Aug. 23, and that fair books are available at local banks and at the courthouse.
