Council committee approves posting three school‑committee appointee job descriptions

Council leadership presented a package to create job descriptions and post three appointee positions for the forthcoming school committee configuration: one education background appointee, one finance background appointee and one legal-background appointee. Posting and hiring timelines were described as administrative steps the mayor’s office and clerk will coordinate; the committee directed staff to ensure the job descriptions are included in the full-council packet when the item goes forward.
