The chief (chief Bogart) replied that CPR and similar certifications are handled department-wide because certifications must be renewed periodically and so are not typically included on individual job descriptions. “We would do it as a department-wide [requirement],” the chief said, adding that such certifications were not on the current descriptions.
The transcript records the roll call as Council member Barker — Aye; Council member Brown — Aye; Council member Gray — Aye; Council member Smith — Aye. The motion passed 4 to 0.
