Dr. Jose Ramirez
The board approved an employment agreement for Dr. Jose Ramirez as director of classified human resources (classified confidential management salary schedule, range 42, step 9; effective date TBD). The superintendent introduced Ramirez and summarized his career. Ramirez addressed the board and thanked cabinet and his family. He said, "I'm committed to our district's vision and mission in providing equity, building relationships, and providing services to our families in our communities." The board voted and the motion passed.
Grama Burns
The board also approved an employment agreement appointing Grama Burns as assistant principal at James Workman Middle School (salary schedule details in the packet; effective Aug. 27, 2025). The superintendent reviewed Burns's teaching and leadership background and awards. Burns thanked the board and said she was "excited and eager to get started."
