The Fuquay-Varina Town Board on Tuesday adopted an annexation ordinance to extend town limits to include a 0.627-acre parcel at 8413 Fayetteville Road, following a public hearing and staff presentation.
Planning Director Pam Davidson told the board the parcel is noncontiguous to the town’s corporate limits; public water and sewer are currently available to serve the property while town sanitation and recycling services were not available and a declaration to exclude those services was included with the annexation. A nearby fire-flow test returned adequate capacity, and Davidson reported the present value of the properties being annexed as $212,069. The town clerk previously certified the petition met the requirements of the North Carolina General Statutes.
No members of the public spoke in opposition or in favor at the hearing. The board moved, seconded, and voted to adopt the annexation ordinance (ANX-2025-13); the motion carried by voice vote.
