Council approves Kettlestone Central Social site plan and plats for 2105 Grand Prairie Parkway

The Waukee City Council approved the preliminary plat, final plat and site plan for Kettlestone Central Social at 2105 Grand Prairie Parkway at its Aug. 4 meeting. Staff said the owner and applicant is Caliber Land Company LLC and the site is 3.57 acres zoned KRC, Kettlestone Retail Community District. The proposed project includes a two‑story commercial entertainment building of just under 18,000 square feet and roughly 43 feet in height, restaurant space, outdoor covered patios, outdoor entertainment spaces including pickleball courts and enclosed outdoor areas, staff said. Site details include a trash enclosure constructed of matching brick, private utilities and a privately owned stormwater detention pond located at the south side of the overall development. A 10‑foot wide trail exists along Grand Prairie Parkway and staff said the applicant will install a 10‑foot trail along the north side of the site on Southeast West Town Parkway; pedestrian access from the trails will be provided into the site. Staff recommended approval of the plats and site plan; council members voted to adopt the resolutions and approve the site plan on recorded votes.
