Council awards $368,680.99 contract to replace city servers after two bids

The presenter described the purchase as routine lifecycle replacement rather than an expansion of services; the council did not request additional scope changes at the meeting. Staff estimated a typical replacement cost “around a half million dollars” every seven to eight years, though the accepted bid is lower than that estimate.
The council’s vote authorized the expenditure identified in the agenda item and directed staff to proceed with procurement and implementation under the awarded contract.
