The packet noted the district’s declared Open Choice seats and that October 1 data will determine final state reimbursement rates tied to Open Choice counts.
The gifts report listed items under $500 and larger community gifts, with multiple PTO and PTA donations across schools. The superintendent highlighted a Stop & Shop community contribution that included a $10,000 donation to the district and a popsicle van event for students at an elementary school; monies were used to support food budgets and families in need.
Board members asked clarifying questions about Open Choice numbers, full‑day preschool slots and staffing impacts. No formal votes were taken on enrollment or gifts; the reports were accepted as informational.
