New student representatives introduced; seniors outline early-year events and student engagement

Hopkinton School Committee members were introduced to student representatives Ella Snyder and Ryan Click, both seniors at Hopkinton High School, and heard a report on student life and upcoming events. Snyder described her involvement with Challenge Success, Art History Club, Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention Youth Coalition and prevention work with the public health department; she noted efforts such as freshman seminars and presentations that support transitions. Click recounted senior activities (senior tie-dye, senior sunrise), described the high school club fair scheduled for Sept. 9, and outlined upcoming athletic events and senior parent night on Sept. 18. Both students said they will alternate attendance at committee meetings depending on availability and expressed interest in connecting with community groups such as the Sustainable Green Committee. Committee members welcomed the student representatives and invited them to coordinate with principals and committees for outreach.
