The Rona Planning Commission on Sept. 2 approved a site plan amendment to add 12 parking stalls at 1155 Ambition Street in Liberty Business Park. The building was originally approved in 2022 as a 58,000-square-foot warehouse/flex industrial building with 58 parking stalls; the applicant asked to add 12 stalls by restriping existing areas.
Planning staff said the amendment includes a negotiated condition that a joint vehicular parking agreement must be recorded with the register of deeds and that all previous conditions of approval remain in force. "The applicant has requested approval to add 12 parking stalls by restriping spaces previously sized to accommodate impacts to the area," Mister Severson, planning staff, told the commission.
The commission approved the amendment with the two conditions: (1) previous site plan conditions remain applicable, and (2) a joint vehicular parking agreement shall be recorded. The motion passed by voice vote.
Staff said the recorded parking agreement will formalize shared parking and ensure the additional stalls meet the site—s operational needs. There was no public comment on the item during the meeting.
The amendment does not change the building footprint or use but alters on-site parking configuration; applicants seeking further changes would need additional approvals and permits.
