BROCKTON, Mass. — The Brockton School Committee unanimously approved the Brockton Public Schools student and family handbooks for the 2025–26 school year during its Aug. 5 meeting.

Ms. Sullivan moved to approve the handbooks, which the superintendent said had been reviewed by principals and others who requested changes. Ms. Oliver seconded the motion. The chair called for a hand vote and the motion passed unanimously.

The superintendent said the handbooks had been previously circulated to committee members on July 3, 2025. No substantive debate on handbook policy was recorded during the meeting; the committee treated the item as a routine approval following local review by principals.
