The Brockton School Committee on Sept. 3 set a deadline of Sept. 24 for members to submit evaluation forms for Superintendent Dr. Taheliyani and asked for volunteers to help compile the composite evaluation for presentation in early October. The superintendent reviewed her year‑end artifact book and end‑of‑year report tied to DESE educator-evaluation standards and the district’s focus indicators. Committee members received both a hard copy and an electronic form; the vice chair said the electronic form would be sent the morning after the meeting. Vice Chair Rodriguez asked members to forward completed evaluations to the vice chair and said he would work with Assistant Superintendent Kim Tsai to compile results. He invited committee members to join the subcommittee and set the deadline approximately 21 days from the meeting: "Let's go with the 24th." Several members volunteered to assist with compilation. The committee discussed whether the packet and final composite would be posted publicly; the superintendent said the composite can be posted online and that it is the only employee evaluation that may be made public under district practice. Members clarified that for confidentiality and transparency the chair and vice chair typically receive evaluations and that the compiled results would be presented to the committee in a subcommittee meeting in early October.
