The speaker read multiple case numbers, for example: reinstatement case 23/24-31 (motion by Trustee Porras, seconded by Trustee Alvarez) and reinstatement case 24/25-51 (motion by Trustee Porras, seconded by Trustee Alvarez); the board accepted the recommendations in each item reported. The board also approved stipulated expulsion orders on motions made by Trustee Porras and seconded by Trustee Alvarez (recorded votes 5–0 on the items announced). Under closed-session personnel actions, the board approved multiple management appointments on a motion made by Dr. Watson and seconded by Trustee Porras with a unanimous vote. Those named in the open-session announcement included appointments for assistant principal and principal positions and classified management roles: assistant principal at Indio High School (James Atkins); assistant principal at Page Middle School (Maribel Ramirez); assistant principal at Palm Desert Charter Middle School (Shannon Palormiti); principal at John Glenn Middle School (Jay Harper); principal at Johnson Elementary School (Julia Allberg Burbank); principal at Monroe Elementary School (Caitlin Hubbard); director of security and safety services (Ephraim Jacobo); and site manager for nutrition services (William Rubio). The board also approved a settlement agreement and accepted the suspension of a classified employee (groundskeeper 231747) under the terms of a settlement agreement; motions and votes were announced as unanimous. All actions reported from closed session were described as votes approving staff recommendations; the board did not discuss those individual cases in open session beyond the posted roll-call outcomes and motions.
