Board approves interagency agreements, bus-stop designations, easement for city lift station and DLR amendments

At its Aug. 14 meeting the Bowling Green City Schools Board of Education approved a package of operations items: interagency agreements for student services, designation of school bus stops, a temporary easement and grant for a city lift station, acceptance of monetary and in-kind gifts, and amendments to the district’s service agreement with DLR Group. The board approved an agreement with the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities for special-needs student services and related supports and an agreement with the Wood County Educational Service Center for prevention education on-site services. The board also approved Title I pooling memoranda of understanding with Segal Local Schools and Patrick Henry Local Schools, agreements to provide remedial tutoring at Bowling Green Christian Academy and speech-and-language therapy at the Montessori School for the 2025–26 school year. The transportation director and superintendent presented the district’s designation of school bus stops for 2025–26 and were authorized to relocate stops as operational needs arise. The board approved granting a temporary easement and an easement to the city of Bowling Green for $280 and $2,000 respectively for construction of a lift station. The district accepted gifts totaling $8,310.09 from multiple donors named in the board packet, including local organizations and individuals. The board also approved amendments to the original service agreement with DLR Group related to the new high school project; the packet included the recommended amendment language. All items were approved by roll-call vote and take effect for the 2025–26 school year. The board did not request additional changes to the agreements during the meeting.
