Board approves staff hires, resignations and supplemental contracts for 2025–26

The Bowling Green City Schools Board of Education on Aug. 14 approved a package of personnel actions for the 2025–26 school year, including hires, resignations, supplemental contracts and substitute authorizations. Superintendent Ted Hazeland presented the recommendations, which the board approved by roll-call vote. The personnel block included acceptance of the resignation of counselor Marybeth Ellison from Bridal Elementary; employment recommendations such as Allison Wyatt as a high-school mathematics teacher; and approval of 41 supplemental contracts as listed in the board packet. The board also approved participants in the resident educator program (mentees and mentors for years 1 and 2), a speech-therapist mentor, and professional-development participants to be paid with Title funds. Support personnel actions accepted resignations (Alexis Dade and Parker Shepherd) and approved new hires for listed positions, plus transportation and van-driver substitutes for the 2025–26 school year. The board approved student-activity contracts and volunteer recognitions after the administration confirmed valid Ohio Department of Education pupil-activity permits and satisfactory background checks for listed individuals. Board members approved the personnel recommendations without recorded dissent. The actions take effect for the 2025–26 school year; the board did not discuss additional staffing policy changes at the meeting.
