The Pewaukee Board of Education accepted the business affairs committee report for July and members spotlighted a newly designed monthly financial summary intended to make district finances easier for board members and the public to review.
Board members said the business affairs meeting this month was brief—about eight minutes—and that most July spending reflected accruals from the prior fiscal year. The transcript records one recurring state grant that typically arrives in July but does not list an amount. The board noted that July expenditures were ‘‘very light,’’ approximately 5 percent of budget for the reporting period, and recommended members review the new summary monthly.
Staff members John and Megan (identified in the meeting as district business-affairs staff) were credited by board members for producing the new format.
