Levi Martinson sworn in as Riverton police lieutenant

Levi Martinson was sworn in as a lieutenant with the Riverton Police Department during the Aug. 19 Riverton City Council meeting. Mayor Tim Hancock administered the oath of office and Martinson's family joined him during the ceremony. The mayor and council recognized Martinson's background, which the chief summarized as including prior service in the Arvada and Blackhawk departments and work in information technology and construction. The chief introduced Martinson's wife and daughter and presented the badge. Martinson repeated the oath to support and defend the constitutions of the United States and the state of Wyoming and to discharge the duties of his office with fidelity. Council and staff welcomed Martinson to the department and thanked his family for attending.
