Staff explained that the opioid fund had been created but the expense line had not been budgeted, preventing the county from expending the money. The approved adjustment transfers $100,000 into the expenditure line for the fund so purchases and program expenses can be made.
Commissioners approved the budget adjustment by motion; staff said two other items tied to the impact fee/TRT reports would be postponed to the next agenda while corrections are made to reporting data.
The transfer enables immediate procurement of the radar signs and allows the county to begin implementing the designated opioid program expenditures.
