Supervisors approve sheriff's vehicle purchases under fleet replacement schedule

For FY25, the board authorized purchase and outfitting of four vehicles (three 2025 Ford Police Interceptor utilities and one 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe) as part of the approved replacement rotation. For FY26, the board authorized purchase and outfitting of two Ford Police Interceptor utility vehicles for the next year’s rotation. Staff said purchases are to be made under the Virginia state contract and align with the board’s annual vehicle allocation.
Supervisors moved and seconded the motions and approved both purchases. No special financing or budget increase was requested beyond the board’s adopted vehicle allocations for the respective fiscal years.
