The Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 12 recommended approval of a small‑scale future land‑use amendment and a companion rezoning to enable an expansion of the Cold Link Logistics facility at 2424 and 2428 West Orange Blossom Trail.
Staffer Amir Hamza said the two parcels total 0.38 acres and that the applicant requested changing the future land‑use designation from County Industrial to City Industrial and rezoning from transitional to light industrial. The Development Review Committee recommended approval.
No members of the public spoke on the item. Commissioner Norwood moved to recommend the future land‑use change and later moved the rezoning recommendation; both motions passed on voice votes after seconding by other commissioners.
The commission’s recommendation does not authorize construction; subsequent site‑level engineering, building permits and any required water‑management approvals must be obtained before the Cold Link Logistics facility may expand onto the properties.
