According to the packet presentation, “there were over 4,000 visitors that came during the August 1 through August 5 timeline for the tournament at Hatton Park,” and those visitors “collectively created 9,300 visits at Hatton Stadium,” a city staff member said. Staff noted social-media posts and business owner comments indicating strong local spending and positive feedback.
Committee members praised the event organizers and the Park and Recreation Department for managing a well-attended tournament. No formal action was taken; the committee noted the tournament as an example of an event that generates substantial local economic activity.
