The Oldsmar City Council unanimously appointed Amber Stevens and Tanya Dingman to fill two alternate member vacancies on the planning board on Aug. 19.
The mayor said the planning board had two alternate vacancies following the expiration of terms, including Joseph Santana’s term on Aug. 2, 2025. Council materials show the planning board voted unanimously on Aug. 13 to recommend the appointments.
Amber Stevens appeared at the meeting and addressed the council, saying she wanted to help “guide and shape the future of land use in our community development” and that she was “excited to learn more and work with” current board members. Tanya Dingman’s application was on file with the city clerk and not present in person.
If appointed, both Stevens and Dingman will serve two‑year terms through Aug. 19, 2027. The council called for a motion to approve; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote, with the chair announcing the motion passed.
Council thanked the new appointees for volunteering. The appointments were administrative and did not include separate discussion of board responsibilities or agenda items for upcoming planning hearings.
