Council approves consent docket including legal payments and design work order for Forest Lakes Boulevard

The Oldsmar City Council approved the consent docket on Aug. 19 by voice vote, advancing routine administrative items including minutes and vendor payments.
City Clerk Kristen Garcia read the consent items into the record. Among the items the council approved were: consideration of minutes from the Aug. 5 council meeting; approval of payment for July 2025 legal services; approval of payment for April–July 2025 legal services to Bartlett, Loeb, Hens and Thompson, PLLC for litigation defense related to Eric Seidel; and approval of Work Order No. 3 to Jones Edmonds and Associates Inc. for preparation of design plans for the Forest Lakes Boulevard Phase 3 improvements project under the General Engineering Services RFQ.
A council member asked if anyone wished to pull items for discussion; no items were pulled. A motion to approve the consent docket was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair announced the motion passed.
The work order will proceed under the existing general engineering services agreement; no supplementary funding or contract amendments were read into the record at the meeting. The agenda materials note the Forest Lakes Boulevard Phase 3 work is part of the city’s capital improvement program.
