The Daytona Beach Code Enforcement Board on Aug. 14 granted an extended compliance date for 141 Pierce Ave after the owner’s caseworker said the homeowner had been awarded $227,500 in funding for a full rehabilitation and the work is now waiting for the owner’s turn in the contractor schedule.
Inspector Beanie (via Inspector Quinn’s report) said the case was first noticed March 11, 2025, and that there had been contact with the owner and progress on permits; staff recommended an amendment to the October cutoff. Nicole, identified as the owner’s caseworker with Endeavors, told the board that “Mr. Alfred has been awarded… the total amount being $227,500,” and that the funding award places the project into a queue with Transform program process number 386 – meaning the owner must wait for the project to reach the top of the contractor list.
Board members discussed timing and staff recommended allowing additional time beyond the typical 60-day window. The board voted to extend the compliance review to Nov. 5, 2025, and directed the owner and caseworker to stay in touch with Inspector Beanie about scheduling and proof of progress.
