The council passed a resolution approving an amended land‑vacation request from Robertson Brothers correcting a typographic error in the property legal description previously submitted for the cul‑de‑sac on Lehi. Jill Ferrari, counsel for Robertson Brothers, told the council the error was typographical and that the developer has closed on the land contract and plans hazardous‑material removal next week.
The council separately voted to schedule a public hearing on April 7 to consider a different small parcel at the east end of the property, abutting Harper Avenue, that was discovered during closing and that had not been vacated. City staff said the newly noticed parcel is not part of the cul‑de‑sac vacation approved earlier and that the public hearing is the final step prior to demolition.
Council members asked about funding and whether Wayne County remained a partner; the developer said funding was modified but the project has closed and remains in partnership with Wayne County. Both resolutions passed on roll call votes.
