Recreation director: pool‑house renovation to start in weeks; marina winter storage available

Director Zade told the Community Recreation Commission on Sept. 4 that a full renovation of the municipal pool house should begin within the next few weeks and is expected to be complete within three months of the start date.
"Our pool house renovation should begin within the next few weeks, and it should be complete within 3 months of the start date," Director Zade said. He listed work to include new toilets, ceilings, floors and roofing and said the renovated facility will be ADA compliant.
Zade also said marina winter‑storage paperwork is now available. "If you are interested in storing your boat at the marina, please call the recreation office or swing by the office to get a contract and to check availability," he said, adding that slip assignments are handled by the dock master and that spots fill quickly.
On other facilities, the director said the municipal golf course will remain open through October and into November and that updated carts received in 2023 will be used for the remainder of the season.
The commission did not record a contract award, specific contractor name, project cost, or an exact start date at the Sept. 4 meeting. No formal motion or vote was recorded for these facility items during the Recreation Commission session.
