Ross pointed out that switching flower-watering responsibility had increased recurring costs; he said the township’s DPS crew is now watering planters daily and that board members should expect that reflected in upcoming financial updates. “The payment for watering the flowers… does come at an extra cost,” Ross said, and he warned the board to expect the change in the next financial report.
After discussion about planting and warranty details for the tree, the board moved and approved the $4,200 purchase. Ross said the supplier would plant the tree and provide care instructions and that staff would coordinate watering during the establishment period.
The July financial statements were moved, seconded and approved without additional conditions. The board discussed prioritizing lighting and landscaping for purchased sculptures in future budgeting.
