The Grosdale Toll Bridge Commission approved its regular meeting calendar for fiscal year 2025–26 and elected officers at its first meeting.

Meeting schedule: the commission voted to hold monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month (Sept. 17; Oct. 15; Nov. 19; Dec. 17, 2025; continuing Jan. 21; Feb. 18; and March 18, 2026). Meetings will be scheduled at 6 p.m. with timing subject to adjustment by the commission.

Officer elections: commissioners nominated and elected officers by voice vote. The commission approved the following appointments for fiscal year 2025–26: Patrick Smith Bauer as chairperson, Daryl McCartney as vice chair and Christine Dawn Bailey as secretary. The secretary’s responsibilities were described as maintaining minutes that record motions, who moved and seconded actions, and votes taken.

Public comment and procedure: the commission confirmed two public‑comment slots per meeting (one at the beginning of the meeting for agenda or other items and one at the end for comments on actions taken), and staff said township email addresses and a listserv will be provided so commissioners can request public information while avoiding serial deliberations outside public meetings under the Michigan Open Meetings Act.

What’s next: with the meeting schedule and officers in place, staff will circulate contact information and provide materials requested by commissioners for the next meeting, including financial detail and vendor shortlists for staffing and engineering matters.
