Committee backs F2 carry-in liquor license for Idle Hour cigar lounge

The Government Operations Committee approved a recommendation to grant an F2 carry-in liquor license to IH Sakara LLC, which will operate as The Idle Hour, a cigar lounge at 11 South Second Avenue. Chief Steve Clark, acting police chief, told the committee the Liquor Control Commission had unanimously approved the application earlier the same day. Clark said the F2 carry-in license would authorize patrons to bring beer, wine, or spirits into the private commercial social club in place of public accommodations; the city’s presentation said no alcoholic beverages would be stored on site.
