The Village of Roselle Board of Trustees on Aug. 11 approved several infrastructure contracts and redevelopment appropriations during the consent and development-and-engineering portion of the meeting. Trustee Forsyth moved and the board approved by roll call: a $300,000 contract with Scanlon Excavating and Concrete Inc. for the 2025 storm sewer improvement program; a $208,959 agreement with Civiltech Engineer Inc. for Phase 1 design engineering on Lawrence Avenue and Plum Grove Road improvements; and a $161,183 agreement with Engineering Enterprises Inc. for design engineering for a Feb. 2026 water‑main and sanitary‑sewer improvement program. The board also approved appropriations from the special tax allocation (TIF) funds for the Roselle Nergi and Irving Central redevelopment project areas; trustees voted aye on those appropriations as presented. Trustee Lanisa moved approval of the accounts-payable list for Aug. 11, 2025, in the amount of $1,153,590.18; the roll call vote carried. The contracts and design agreements were introduced by trustees as routine resolutions, moved and seconded, and each passed by roll call. The approvals were presented as part of routine development, engineering and finance business; trustees asked no substantive policy changes during the motions. Staff will proceed to execute the contracts and advance Phase 1 engineering as authorized.
