The Planning and Development Committee voted to approve a PUD preliminary plan and final plat to expand parking at McGrath Kia, the final remaining parcel in the McGrath Business Center PUD. Planning staff said the proposal includes 475 parking stalls, landscaping consistent with the existing PUD, shared access from Route 64, cross access to the west and a stormwater detention basin at the south end of the lot. The planning commission reviewed the plans on Aug. 19 and recommended approval; staff reported there were no remaining comments.
Committee members asked whether the lot would be fully paved and whether the plan met King County (planning text referenced) stormwater requirements; staff confirmed the lot will be paved and that stormwater requirements are being met. The motion to approve was made, seconded and passed by roll call.
Next steps: The final plat consolidates the parcel and establishes required easements; staff will proceed with the plat recording and the applicant may pursue building permits after final engineering and plat recording.
