Council sets Sept. 22 public hearing for Principal Shopping District special assessment roll

Vice President Carter moved the resolution to set the public hearing for Sept. 22. The motion passed unanimously. No public testimony on the assessment roll was offered at the Sept. 8 meeting; the hearing on Sept. 22 will be the formal opportunity for property owners and interested parties to comment.
The assessor asked committee members for questions and said the roll updates were limited to the 3% increase and administrative changes for ownership and name records. Committee members did not request additional changes at the Sept. 8 session.
