City staff reported that the township offered the meeting room at no rent provided the city cover insurance costs, and staff said broadcast capabilities (LCTV) can continue from the township facility. Services such as water‑bill payment and some permit functions will remain at City Hall and the gymnasium with limited staff.
Staff asked the council to approve Resolution 25‑05‑0 (listed on the agenda as 25050) authorizing the temporary lease/agreement for meetings. The item moved on consent and was approved without separate roll‑call debate. Staff said they will post meeting‑location updates on the city website and move some meetings from Tuesdays to Wednesdays for the relocation period.
