Staff reported the recommended unit costs $18,500 with a $3,500 trade‑in credit for the city’s 2018 Toro machine (about 1,500 hours), yielding a net cost of $15,000 — $1,000 under the FY2026 budget line of $16,000.

Staff said the outgoing mower had reached the end of its service life and incurred increased maintenance and downtime. The purchase will be made through Woodland Equipment under the OMNIA cooperative contract in accordance with city procurement policy, staff said. The commission approved the purchase by voice vote.
