StyleLine Custom Cabinetry seeks 7,000‑square‑foot addition at Prime Business Park; planning commission recommended approval

City planning staff presented a proposal from StyleLine Custom Cabinetry for a second addition to its existing building on Lot 12 in Prime Business Park and said the application met zoning and development standards.

Staff said the subject property is about 3.8 acres, zoned O‑2, and located on Prime Boulevard. The applicant — noted in staff materials as Randy Michaels (acting on behalf of StyleLine Custom Cabinetry) — proposed a two‑story warehouse addition primarily for storage of cabinets and related fixtures. The addition’s footprint was described as approximately 7,000 square feet with an upper level; staff said the original building was approved at 25,000 square feet in 2018 and expanded in 2022 to 44,520 square feet.

Staff reviewed elevations and described the addition as matching the existing precast concrete tilt‑up material, color and detailing. The existing dock and overhead door locations would be relocated to the new addition; staff said the parking layout would remain substantially the same and that the development conforms to bulk‑regulation requirements for the zoning district.

The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval by a 7–0 vote at its Aug. 13, 2025 meeting; staff said it would place ordinance 25‑0‑14 on the Sept. 17 City Council agenda for consent or action. The applicant and a construction representative were present and answered brief council remarks about the firm's tenure in the park; no objections were raised.

No council action was taken at this meeting; staff will return with the ordinance for formal action on Sept. 17.
