Council OKs Crash Champions auto-body site plan for Lockport Crossings

The Lockport City Council approved a concept plan for Crash Champions auto body repair at the Lockport Crossings site, adopting resolution 25-0066. Staff presented updated site and facade imagery requested by Alderman Pugh and noted further landscape work will be coordinated along Highland Drive; council members said the materials and screening addressed earlier concerns. The presentation explained the site plan layout, fence placement and an 8–9 foot grade change from Highland Drive up to the site and that the retention pond sits behind the rise. Doug (city planning staff) displayed the latest renderings and an aerial view of the lot and said the applicant will continue to work with the city on additional landscape components and fencing to soften the site elevation differences. Council discussion acknowledged the presentation and thanked staff for the follow-up. The resolution passed according to the meeting record. Staff will continue working with the applicant on landscape and fence details and will coordinate any required final approvals and inspections as the project moves from concept to construction permitting.
