Council accepts April 8 municipal election results (Bill 2025-05)

The ordinance (Bill 2025-05) declares and accepts the official results for city council seats, city attorney, and a CIP tax measure as certified by Cooper County Clerk Jared Richards; the certification was attached to the council packet as Exhibit A. The measure was presented for first and second reading and approved by the council.
Mayor Pro Tem moved to approve the ordinance; the motion was seconded. Councilmembers Harville, Gilbert, Finneville, Davis, Young, Meadows and Coward voted in favor by roll call and the ordinance passed. The council then adjourned to proceed with swearing-in and other post-election business.
