Boonville introduces new Fire Chief Tim Cooper; two fire positions posted to expand crew

"Together with your help, I feel like we're gonna do some great things," Cooper said, asking council members to contact him at the fire station to discuss concerns and ideas. Cooper said he and his family closed on a house in town and that he looks forward to learning the city’s history and department operations.
At the meeting the city administrator said the city had posted two internal fire positions that day; once those positions are filled the department's crew count will rise to six. The administrator noted the postings had been timed to coincide with Cooper's start date so the new chief could help oversee hiring and station operations. No council action was required at the meeting; the posting and introduction were informational.
