The Booneville City Council approved a final site plan for Ballpark Central at Jackson Road during its Sept. 2 meeting. Staff said the plan included three variances, one related to shading in the parking lot that could not meet the 25% shading requirement because space was needed for stormwater drainage.
A council member asked whether the required variances had been reviewed and whether the developer and reviewers were satisfied; staff responded that the variances and drainage measures had been reviewed and are acceptable. Council members described the project as positive economic development for Booneville and thanked the developers for investing within city limits.
The motion to approve the final site plan (bill 2025‑020) carried on second reading.
