Council approves final site plan for 98 Investments LLC, OKs preliminary plan for Ballpark Central at Jackson Road

The Booneville City Council on Aug. 4 approved a final site plan for 98 Investments LLC at 17120 Jackson Road and separately approved a preliminary site plan for a Ballpark Central project on Jackson Road. Council members said planning and zoning had reviewed the final plan and raised questions about the number of handicap parking spaces and drainage; staff indicated the planning committee recommended approval and that engineering (Mico) had reviewed drainage. One council member noted approval would help bring the development into city limits rather than leaving it in the county. The preliminary plan for Ballpark Central was approved with the understanding that additional work remains before final approval; staff explained that a preliminary site plan requires the applicants to complete further items and return with a final site plan for formal council approval.
