The committee also authorized the city to enter an agreement with Foster Coach Sales Inc. for the purchase and build of a new ambulance, a step intended to lock in a production slot and price ahead of delivery. Alderman Gould moved the ambulance contract; Alderman Tice seconded. The motion carried by a 4–0 vote.
Separately, the committee approved a series of fiscal-year 2024 budget amendments tied to recent capital purchases, accelerated FEMA-related spending and other reconciliations arising from the audit process. That motion, moved by Alderman Theiss and seconded by Alderman Gould, passed 4–0.
The consent agenda, which included approval of the Feb. 6, 2025 minutes, was approved by acclamation earlier in the meeting.
Why it matters: The votes collectively adjust personnel benefits (tuition reimbursement), secure long-lead capital equipment (ambulance), and formally close out accounting and budget items for FY2024 as part of the audit process. Each vote was unanimous among the four members present.
