Aldermen approve easements with MoDOT for Brentwood Bound improvements

Brentwood — The Board of Aldermen on Aug. 18, 2025, approved bill 65-68, an ordinance authorizing permanent easement agreements between the City of Brentwood and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MoDOT) for parcels used by the Brentwood Bound improvements near the Manchester Road tunnel.
Public works staff noted five parcels near the Manchester Road tunnel had been used by both the MoDOT project and the Brentwood Bound project and that the city needs to record permanent easements for storm sewer, sanitary and sidewalk purposes. The board approved the ordinance on second reading and directed staff to record the easement agreements to clear title and allow project closeout.
Outcome: Bill 65-68 was perfected and adopted on second reading by roll call (8-0). Staff said the easements are needed to record and finalize project boundaries and infrastructure responsibilities.
